Carbon Reduction Comparison by System Type
Carbon Emissions Calculation Method
This study compares CO₂ emissions from good plan materials and wooden structures based on one-time booth installation and operation.
System Boundary : Includes the entire life cycle from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal (cradle to grave).
Reuse Assumption : good plan materials are assumed to be reused 30 times before disposal. Wooden structures are assumed to be used once. Total emissions are normalized per single-use basis.
Comparison Standard : For wooden booths, national average wood usage and volume are applied to calculate emissions.
Transportation : Assumes storage and processing of good plan materials within COEX, while wood is transported from the nearest standard supplier.
Electricity Usage : Lighting is assumed to be used for 8 hours per use, with average power consumption considered.
Waste Disposal : Based on 2023 statistics. CO₂ emissions calculated by applying ratios of recycling, incineration, and landfill.
